Specifications
Operating Specification:
304 Stainless Steel for Outdoor Use (Satin Brushed Finish)
Manufactured from 304 stainless steel, this automatic rising security bollard offers an excellent balance of strength, durability, and corrosion resistance for typical UK outdoor conditions. Choose satin brushed stainless for a clean premium look, or satin brushed black for a more discreet, modern finish that suits contemporary driveways and commercial sites.
This means:
Safer Automated Vehicle Access Control
Designed for real-world access control, the integrated infrared safety sensor helps reduce the risk of lowering onto an obstruction, while the IP68 protection rating supports long-term outdoor performance in wet, harsh conditions. This makes it a dependable choice for automatic driveway bollards, commercial entrance security, and car park access control where reliability matters.
Yes. Automatic bollards sit in a below-ground housing, so drainage is essential to prevent water build-up and support long-term reliability. We recommend using the included soakaway where ground conditions allow, or installing a drainage sump system on sites with poor drainage or where water is likely to collect.
In most residential cases, planning permission is not required. As long as public or shared land is not affected, bollards can usually be installed without approval. If you’re unsure, we recommend checking with your local authority.
Automatic bollards require a power supply (typically 220V) and a control method such as remotes, an app (via WiFi receiver), keypad, or access system. You’ll also need a suitable ground installation with a correctly sized sleeve/foundation for stability and drainage.
Yes, but automatic bollards usually require a proper concrete foundation and a formed recess/sleeve below the surface. Block paving or tarmac may need cutting back so the bollard can be set into a solid base with the correct drainage.
Our bollards are designed for outdoor use and finished for durability. We use high-grade stainless steel (304) where specified, and for other materials we apply a strong powder-coated finish to help protect against corrosion.
Yes. Our bollards are suitable for both residential and commercial applications, including car parks, retail sites, and business premises.
Our control setup supports a connection for a lithium battery backup, so the system can be configured to maintain access during a power cut. Please note: lithium batteries are not included due to shipping restrictions. If you’d like battery backup, we can advise on the correct battery specification and connection method.
Maintenance is minimal. Occasional cleaning and basic checks are usually sufficient, with lubrication required for moving parts where applicable.
